Welcome to The Moth, publisher of The Moth and The Caterpillar magazines and purveyor of literary prizes, including The Moth Poetry Prize, one of the biggest in the world for a single unpublished poem, judged this year by Nobel Laureate Louise Glück.

Since 2010, we have been publishing The Moth magazine, which features contemporary art, fiction, poetry and interviews with the likes of Sharon Olds, Simon Armitage and Sally Rooney. Its junior counterpart, The Caterpillar, has been around since 2013.

We also run The Moth Studios in Cavan Town. If you would like to become a member and avail of our drop-in open studio on Mondays and Fridays, or join Will's Tuesday night painting session, you can sign up here.

The spring 2023 issues of both magazines will be our last, but we will continue with our four literary prizes – The Moth Poetry Prize, The Moth Short Story Prize, The Moth Nature Writing Prize and The Caterpillar Poetry Prize – making them even bigger and better.

We will also continue to sell back issues of both magazines, including our exciting new gift bundles of 5 for as little as €20.
